Indeed, 🌊 88 ocean and coastal parks are conserved for us all to take in the wonders of our nation's ocean and maritime heritage ➡️ https://www.nps.gov/subjects/oceans/index.htm

Posted at: 3/5/2026, 4:50:40 PM - RT by @NatlParkService: March 1, 1872. An act of Congress. A new idea. A place set aside for the benefit and enjoyment of the people. 154 years later — still wild. Still inspiring. Still Yellowstone.

Posted at: 2/27/2026, 3:12:40 PM - R to @NatlParkService: They look shorter too.
Before you hit the trail, take an honest look at everyone in your group (yes, including yourself) and choose a hike you can all finish with smiles instead of expressions of resentment.
Flat and easy? Gentle rolling hills? A little elevation for bragging rights? A loop around the visitor center? Forget the trail and have a picnic? Do what feels right.
Not sure where to start? Check a park’s website for trail descriptions, difficulty ratings, and current conditions, or ask a ranger.
